Measure before cutting
Use the actual cuttable fabric width after trimming selvages. The quilt tools cover rectangles, straight-grain strips and butted borders; they do not match prints or plan bias binding. Quilt diagrams explain the cut list and are not actual-size patterns. Smocking downloads have their own ruler scale check.
