Add two weeks of shifts and excluded breaks. Get daily and weekly totals in hours:minutes and decimal hours, then print or download a CSV.

Instructions and examples · Convert minutes to decimal hours

Choose any start day. Times use your device’s time control; overnight shifts need “Ends next day.”

Blank days are unentered. Select Off day to record a day with no shift. Add together only the break minutes you want excluded.

Your two-week total

Enter shifts, or load the labeled example.

Hours only. No wages, overtime eligibility or automatic break rules. Clock-time differences do not adjust for daylight-saving or time-zone changes.

How to use the calculator

  1. Set the first date of your fourteen-day period.
  2. Enter one shift per workday and the total break minutes to exclude. Mark days off explicitly. Split shifts are not supported in this version.
  3. For a shift that crosses midnight, select Ends next day. Use Copy previous day or copy the first week to reduce repeated entry, then review each date.
  4. Calculate, review the daily report and download or print. Changing any entry requires recalculation.

Example: 75 hours across two weeks

Five 9:00 AM–5:00 PM shifts per week, each with a 30-minute excluded break, give 7:30 per day, 37:30 per week and 75:00 across two weeks. Decimal 7.5 means seven and a half hours; it does not mean 7 hours 50 minutes.

Convert minutes to decimal hours

Divide minutes by 60, then add the whole hours. For example, 7 hours 45 minutes = 7 + 45 ÷ 60 = 7.75 hours. This calculator adds whole minutes first and rounds only the displayed decimal totals.

Overnight shifts and dates

A 10:00 PM–6:00 AM shift with Ends next day selected and a 30-minute break gives 7:30 using clock time. All minutes belong to the shift’s start date, including a shift that ends after the period. This tool does not split work at midnight or apply payroll rounding, legal rules or daylight-saving adjustments. Check unusual shifts against your employer’s records.
